The Rail Baltic’s bright and spacious office, created with the assistance of OCCO, is now ready. We spoke with Rail Baltic’s office assistant, Liina Räpp, about what employees like most about the office.
Spacious and Generous
Rail Baltic’s office is very spacious, and this is appreciated by the company’s 95 employees. The open spaces have large windows and a spacious kitchen, along with well-thought-out, roomy workspaces. Thanks to the large windows, it’s possible to work in the office during the day without turning on lamps.
The office has several meeting rooms of different sizes, accommodating anywhere from one to a hundred people. The larger meeting rooms are suitable for bigger gatherings, while the smaller ones provide the opportunity to work quietly and focus.
Spread across two floors are comfortable sofas, a television, and a relaxation area with a massage chair, as well as a sports room for refreshing the mind during the workday. “In the sports room, for example, there’s a wall for stretching and the necessary workout equipment for lighter exercises: dumbbells, a balance ball, resistance bands, and a hand muscle trainer,” highlights Räpp.
“In terms of interior design, we have focused on Scandinavian-inspired neutral tones that create positive emotions. To maintain a clean and tasteful look, there are relatively few different interior elements,” says Räpp.
“The workspace is located in the Avala business district, which was chosen for its excellent location, accessibility, and, of course, innovative and energy-efficient solutions.”
According to Räpp, it is crucial for the company that employees can operate in a high-quality environment. “The main function of the office is, of course, to provide a comfortable and pleasant working environment, fostering collaboration and thereby keeping the team united,” she says. In addition to Estonians, Rail Baltic’s new office also hosts colleagues from Ireland, Poland, the United Kingdom, and India.
“In the same building, there is also the Rail Baltic joint venture RB Rail’s Estonian branch, and we have already hosted representatives of both Baltic countries and European Union transport and logistics sector companies in our premises multiple times. Therefore, it can be said that our office is an international link that connects the Baltic countries with each other.”
