JMV Motors has completed its new and impressive car showroom, with the assistance of OCCO. Maarja Malvre, an interior designer from Studio Ood, who created the stylish interior for the salon, talks about how it all came together and what’s special about the new salon.
The goal of creating the salon was to address the shortcomings of the old one, with the main issue being a lack of space. “We wanted to create a luxurious, large, and logically designed sales showroom,” notes Malvre. “We wanted the interior design to feature high-quality and well-thought-out solutions.”
The design of the salon is significant for the JMV Motors team because it conveys the style, quality, and attitude towards their products and services. Malvre describes the design style of the new salon as a combination of contemporary and timeless elements.
Emphasis was placed on color tones and lighting: “We didn’t want it to be just another sterile and overly lit car showroom; we wanted a cozy space where customers and employees would feel at home and come to spend time, maybe for coffee or a drink,” explains Malvre.
This idea has already proven itself – several parties, a birthday celebration, and other events have been held here. “Multifunctional use and a good vibe are keywords.”
The salon includes a sales area complemented by a bar and lounge. In addition, there are offices, some open workspaces, a meeting room, and a kitchen. “But our favorite is the customer area/lounge, where a luxurious atmosphere is created with comfortable sofas, a decorative fireplace, and a stylish bar corner,” highlights Malvre.
The offices have glass partitions to allow natural light to reach them. As the salon is located in a sustainably operated building, they wanted to introduce as much greenery and plants as possible.
Since JMV Motors had worked on interior design projects before, they gave Studio Ood considerable creative freedom. The JMV Motors team was very satisfied with the result. Malvre mentions that she had previously worked with OCCO, so it was a smooth project to handle together with OCCO. “For the client, everything went smoothly – in the end, only the joy of moving in remained.”
